Industrial Maintenance Mechanic: Management and Documentation

Beginner

Content based on Brazilian standards (Ministry of Labour Regulatory Norms and ABNT). This is the fifth and final course in the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic series, focused on the administrative and documentation skills that turn a skilled technician into a complete maintenance professional. You will learn how to open, prioritize, execute, and properly close work orders across preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance; how to write clear, objective intervention reports that build a traceable service history for every piece of equipment; and how to apply the 5S methodology to your workbench and tool room to work faster and more safely. You will also learn to use a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to register assets, follow maintenance plans, log hours and parts, and consult equipment history — the software skill increasingly required on modern shop floors. Finally, you will learn how the mechanic's own daily records feed key maintenance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and backlog, connecting your paperwork directly to plant performance. By the end, you will document your work the way employers and auditors expect, and understand exactly why that documentation matters.
