Statistics for Public Service Exams

This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Statistics appears in Brazilian bank, Central Bank, Federal Revenue and IBGE exams, and it almost always shows up the same way: a table or a chart, a measure to calculate and a concept not to confuse. This course starts from zero and shows that method with Professor Daniel, in the style of the Cesgranrio, Cebraspe and FGV exam boards. Part one is descriptive statistics: population and sample, types of variables, frequencies, tables and charts. Part two is measures of central tendency and position: mean, median, mode, quartiles and percentiles. Part three is measures of dispersion: range, interquartile range, variance, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. Part four is probability: conditional probability, independence and Bayes theorem. The last part is random variables, the binomial and normal distributions, basic sampling and inference, and simple linear correlation. The questions are True or False and multiple choice, each with the full calculation in the explanation.
